An Important Message from Komen CEVA
Dear Komen Friends,
Happy New Year! We hope you and your family enjoyed a joyous holiday and 2020 is off to a wonderful start.
We write to share some important news – as part of a strategic initiative to ensure more funds are available for mission-directed work, Komen Central & Eastern Virginia has chosen to consolidate and restructure our operations, beginning January 6. We as a Board are mindful of our responsibility to set the strategic direction of our Affiliate for the next decade and beyond. As such, we are working to innovatively increase our impact and our presence across our entire 80+ city and county service area by changing how we work, creating new staff positions in the field, expanding our mission delivery services and introducing new programs and events in more local areas.
Although we will no longer maintain a physical office space in Norfolk, our commitment to our community is as strong as ever. Susan G. Komen CEVA is proud to serve the women and men of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, the Eastern Shore, and across our service area and will continue to provide programs and services throughout Hampton Roads.
We hope you will join us for several exciting Komen CEVA events in 2020, including “Pink in the Rink” on February 8 at Norfolk Scope, and of course, our 2020 Virginia Beach MORE THAN PINK Walk on October 10! If you have questions or would like to learn more about how you can get involved, we invite you to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (804) 320-1772.
On behalf of the Komen CEVA Board and staff, we celebrate more than 20 years of cherished memories and achievements in working together toward our mission, and we thank you for your continued support of our Affiliate and the lives we will help to save from breast cancer.
