The orientation will include an introduction to Susan G. Komen, the Affiliate, how volunteers contribute to our success, and a breast cancer overview. Volunteer opportunities include but are not limited too: staffing health fairs and community event tables, representing the Affiliate as an event speaker, chairing or staffing committees on a variety of topics/needs, providing administrative support and much more.
All Komen Central & Eastern Virginia volunteers must attend an orientation so you are prepared with current information and equipped to answer basic questions about breast health care, the Affiliate and upcoming programs. This class is hosted at our office located at 6363 Center Dr. Suite 103, Norfolk, VA 23502.
Our classes are held monthly or contact the Affiliate to inquire about a one-on-one training.
If you have specific questions regarding our volunteer needs, please contact the Norfolk office at 757-490-7794 ext. 106, the Richmond office at (804) 320-1772.
